Programs for the next few months

February Program:
“Hands on” needle felting will be lead by Trish Anderson of Bigsbys. The Guild will provide
the felting needle, the roving (some was donated by Shirley at the Yarn House) and the pad.
Trish will provide samples and assist in designing. All YOU have to bring is the article you
want to embellish. You can needle felt on wools, denim, twill, home decorating fabrics with
no backing, heavy cotton. Bring your moth eaten coat, jacket, sweater or dress to make a
design to cover the holes. Do NOT try polyesters, synthetics, silk or corduroy.
This promises to be a fun program so be sure to attend!!!!

March Program:
Knitting historian/author, Susan Strawn’s program will consist of historical samples of
knitting as well as a presentation on knitting in America during certain historical periods.
Susan is the author of Knitting America: A Glorious Heritage from Warm Socks to High Art.

April Program:
Our 2nd annual auction. Find an interesting item to donate to the auction. Round up all your
friends to attend. Auction items do not have to be related to knitting. Do you have other
hobbies? Bring one of your creations to the auction!

June Program:
Are you working on your UFO to show at the June meeting?? If you need a commitment form,
see me (Rose Ann) at the next meeting. Prizes will be awarded.

Have you selected your project for the Knitting with Beads contest? Entries will be brought to the
June meeting and the members will vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Prizes will be awarded.
