AUGUST MEETING MINUTES

Linda M called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.
New Guests –The Guild had three new guests present.
Sunshine- birthdays were acknowledged.
Secretary- No changes to the minutes were noted by Guild
Members from the July 2009 meeting. A motion was made by
Jean G to accept and approve the minutes as published
in the newsletter. Carolyn M seconded the motion.
Treasurer-Checking account balance is $3001.03.
Membership-No new members
Newsletter- Paper copies of the July newsletter are available at
tonights meeting.
Community Service-See newsletter for details.
Old Business- No new updates
New Business- The old website is still on the internet. Karen
R will assist in trying to close it down. Susan F is
keeping the blog up to date. Bookmarks are available for
members to distribute. New officers were introduced and will be
installed at the September meeting.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 7:25pm by Karen
R and seconded by Joanie Cannestra
BUS TRIP TO STITCHES
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 12th $30.00 per person.
This includes bus and entrance to Stitches.
Bus leaves from three different stops.
1. 8:00am leaves Watertown Plank Rd park and
ride. Please be there 10 minutes before , to load
onto bus.
2. 8:30am leaves Ryan Rd park and ride. Please be
there 10 minutes before to load.
3. 9:00am this is a rest stop at the McDonalds on
hwy 20 in Racine.
Bus should arrive at Stitches at 10:00 am. Shop and
lunch at your leisure.
Bus leaves from the conference center at 4:00pm.
Stops are in reverse

- We are on Facebook now. Visit us at Greater Milwaukee Knitting Guild. The Greater Milwaukee Knitting Guild is open to anyone interested in knitting at any level. Our mission is to promote interest, appreciation, and skill in knitting. The Meetings are always the second Tuesday of every month except January and August. Social Hour begins at 6:15 pm. Our “Knitting Doctors” are also available at that time for advice and consultation on your knitting problems.
